My point on the complexity of the human machine was to drive the point that though each of the systems are taught independently, at the end each of them are interconnected with each other.

Share 27: Interconnectedness...
Sambhab has recently been introduced to the various systems of the human body. I tried explaining to him that the human body was the most complicated machine and what he is taught nowadays, he shall be able to appreciate that only when he is into college.

Share 26: metric system...
It was just an introduction to the large world of metrics. It started with length. I had my own revision of mili, centi, deci, deca, hecto and kilo...

Share 25: Dwarf planets...
I have advised Sambhab to start interacting with his close friends on something new, something different from the typical kiddish stories. As the first step, I have advised to discuss the names of the dwarf planets of our solar system namely: Pluto, Haumea and Makemake.
While I expect him to be a speaking person because of this, I also expect him to learn the same. It now depends on me how many new things I can tell him and how many days I can continue the same.

Misc 21: First time in his 3 generations...
Sambhab did something which had not happened in none of our lives. He missed his school on 21-Jun for the first time. The reason for the same was delay in entering the school gate. While I was bit tensed, my father handled it deftly by asking each one of us to celebrate the moment.

Misc 20: Hiatus...
With my father leaving for Rourkela today, there would be a hiatus for Sambhab w.r.t. Maths. But yes, that would be only for few days.

Misc 18: Jungle Book
10th April saw a dedicated father-son duo making it to Jungle Book. The kid was naturally very exited. I was impressed to know that he knew almost all the characters apriori.

Misc 17: Yester-tidings...
We had a hectic day yesterday. It was myself and my son only for almost the entire day. He was fully unaware of the entire itinerary and so were his mother and grand-mother who stayed at home.
First it was a visit to his mother's going-to-be-clinic and then it was one of the ghats of the city. After some photography, it was the turn of the GPO. There I showed him various stamps from the Philately counter. next we went to the front arcade where I showed him the lone postman's sculptore. Next, we had a round of street-lunch and tea through the Burra Buzzar lanes.
The next destination was Law Point where purchased few books for Rosy. Next was to come the biggest surprise for Sambhab for teh day: a movie called Zootopia at INOX Forum Mall. After a quick trip to the nextdoor STORY bookstore, it was back to home and by the time we reached home, it was already 9 PM.
Phew!

Misc 16: Finally out...
Yes, it was destined to come off from my hand. After the rigorous follow-up and physical pains taken by my better-half, the tooth was finally released must to the relief of all.
He was given his promised gift; Brainiac 600 as was decided between us.

Misc 15: Mental pressure
Am purposefully keeping the little one under a bit of a mental pressure because of the rooting of one of his teeth. He has not been able to detach the same from his jaws despite having one coming up behind it.
Sharing 24: Static electricity
No, I am not into explanation of teh details of the same. He shall have to fend for himself the same when he grows up. I remember reading it in our Physics nook,"Concise Physics". Time only shall tell which book he shall follow for understanding teh concepts of static electricity.
I showed him the famous experiment of attracting paper pieces by placing a plastic ruler rubber rubbed on hair. I saw an Eureka expression on his face after many months.

Sharing 23: Presidents...
Vacation started from 20th Feb.. I had planned something for his engagement. The first among them is the list of Presidents of India.
I have given him a printout with the names, their period in office and a brief about them. Hope he appreciates the same, goes through it and adds something to his gray matter.

Sharing 22: Shastri
Today, the lil one was a bit low while going to school. The reason primarily was because of his wearing shorts. He was afraid that all students would have worn full trousers and he would be the only one in shorts. he was made to understand by his mother that he only was responsible for the situation courtesy regular and intense dirtying of the full trousers.
I hope he manages well in school today.
To divert his attention, I shared with him the famous river crossing experience of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Honesty and boldness afterall were very important virtues which pay dividend later.

Sharing 21: still on geography
I tried speaking to him about isthumus and gulf. The physical description (read verbal) took place while dropping him at school. However, it was time for explanation on the globe in the late evening hours after I was back from work on 15-Feb..

Sharing 20: Something on geography...
Yesterday, I could manage some one-to-one time with the lil one. I, to the best of my ability tried to explain peninsula and plateau. For the former, I gave examples of India, Spain and Italy.

Misc 14: Mythology...
He seems too intrigued with the subject. Books of Devdutt, his serials and few more other books seems to be the reason.
It invariably is reflected in his conversation, his drawings and questions.

Misc 14: Liked the spirit of attacking the problem...
I gave a really-difficult (as per me) maths problem to this kid and was amazed that he could solve it.
What intrigued me was that he gave a different perspective to the problem and solved the problem in a manner which even i had not thought.
I feel challenged giving him more problem and engaging him.
